Paste filenames, one per line.
Use complete names, including their extensions. Copy just the filename column from a spreadsheet or a plain text selection list. Do not include a column header, row numbers, ratings or other metadata.
A small exact-name list

portrait final.tifThe space in portrait final.tif stays part of the name.
The parser accepts line breaks, commas, semicolons and tabs as separators, with optional quotation marks around a whole filename. For example, "portrait, final.jpg" is one name. A multi-column CSV would treat the other values as additional requests, so extract its filename column first.
Repeated names are collapsed into one request, ignoring letter case and equivalent Unicode spelling. The app shows a duplicate-entry warning. The 2,000-entry limit applies before this duplicate removal.
Include the extension in an exact match.
- Choose a local source folder. Files in its subfolders are included.
- Paste the list and select Exact filename, including extension.
- Choose Check matches and review the result counts.
Exact mode compares the entire filename and extension, ignoring letter case. It can select regular files of any extension; it does not convert them. To request a RAW original using a JPG name, use the JPG-to-RAW workflow instead.
| Requested name | Source file | Exact-mode result |
|---|---|---|
DSC_0412.jpg | dsc_0412.JPG | Matches if this is the only candidate |
DSC_0412.jpg | DSC_0412.CR3 | Does not match: different extension |
DSC_0412.jpg | DSC_04120.jpg | Does not match: different full name |
Automatic XMP inclusion applies only in RAW mode. In exact mode, list the sidecar’s full filename separately if you need it, and review it like any other requested file.
Separate an absent file from an uncertain match.
- Matched
- Exactly one source file has the requested full name. It is added to the export selection.
- Missing
- No source file has that name. Check the extension, spelling and selected source folder.
- Ambiguous
- More than one source file matches. Nothing is selected for that request.
If both camera-a/DSC_0412.jpg and camera-b/DSC_0412.jpg exist, narrow the source folder and check again. Source names differing only by case also count as multiple candidates. Adding a path to the pasted request does not choose a folder: matching uses only the final filename.
The on-screen table shows up to 200 requests. Match report CSV contains all unique requests, including missing and ambiguous ones, with columns requested_name, status, matched_paths and reason. Counts describe name matching, not visual verification of the photographs.
Choose a new folder or a small ZIP.
Copy to new folder
Choose a destination. SelectPack creates a new uniquely named folder, copies files under selected/ with their relative paths, and adds the CSV and COMPLETE.txt when the operation finishes.
Requires supported desktop Chrome / Edge and permission to write to the destination.
Download ZIP
Save selectpack-selected.zip, containing the selected files and CSV report. The completed archive must fit within 200 MiB. It stores the original bytes without image conversion or compression.
For larger selections, split the batch or consider folder copy within the validation limits below.
If there are unresolved requests, first correct them or check the explicit partial-output acknowledgement. Only confirmed matches are copied. A CSV can be downloaded independently after checking, even if no file is eligible for export.
Check both the files and report before deleting any originals. COMPLETE.txt means the folder-copy operation finished; it does not erase missing or ambiguous requests from the report. If copying fails or you stop it, a partial new folder may remain. Inspect it and rerun into another new folder after resolving the issue.
Keep the first batch small.
The intended environment is desktop Chrome or Edge on Windows. Mobile use is not supported; other browsers and macOS have not been validated. Start with disposable copies and inspect the output before relying on it.
- Source folder: up to 50,000 files, including files you do not request.
- List: up to 2,000 entries before duplicate removal.
- ZIP: up to 200 MiB for the completed archive, including files, report and archive overhead. The app may reject a near-limit selection conservatively. ZIP packages the bytes without compressing or converting images.
- Folder copy: available in supported desktop Chrome / Edge; writes one file at a time to a new output folder. Actual OS permission flows and large jobs, including 1 GB copies, still need independent validation.
SelectPack matches names and copies files. It does not inspect image contents, decode RAW, edit photos, read a Lightroom catalog or reconstruct renamed gallery numbers.
Try a list without sharing a photo.
Start with the synthetic example to understand the review step, then use a small set of disposable copies with Exact filename mode.
